♥Back To School♥

Ahhh, it's a new year. That means a new, fresh start to become more outgoing, smart, or anything you want to accomplish in this year.

If you want to make new friends that will stay in your memory until you grow old, then try your best to look approachable and give them compliments. Make sure that you are comfortable around them and always be yourself. Don't try and change yourself just to be friends with someone. Gradually invite them to your house to hang out. Or go out somewhere like to get frozen yogurt, or go to the park.

If you want to be a better student then try and get into a good study habit that fits into your lifestyle. Things might be a little bit easier if you did your homework the night you get it. Otherwise you are stuck doing it at brunch, lunch, in between classes, or maybe even in class the day that it's due. It is not fun if you are stuck in that situation. When your teacher tells you that you have a quiz or a test, then do a little bit of studying every night until the actual test day. You don't have to study for hours and hours every night (unless you want to, then go right ahead!), just make sure that you cover what is needed to be covered. If your teacher gives you a study guide, then that's a bonus and you are very lucky!

Clubs! Join clubs that you feel proud of being in. Clubs are always good to be apart of because they get you more involved in school. If it is a club that has projects over the week or the weekends then that is even better! Those types of clubs can keep a steady head on your shoulders. And hey, if you're that type of person, then you can join as many clubs as you can to get multiple pictures in the yearbook :)

If you play a sport, then be proud of it and go try out for the school team sports! It is always good to be apart of that winning game. You can look in the trophy case at that one shining trophy and say "Yeah, I helped get that trophy". Even if you don't play sports you can always go out to the games to support your friends. They will definitely appreciate it. You can also try a new sport. Many people who have no experience can make a team that they try out for. If you do that, then you will feel like you accomplished something and you will feel really good about yourself.

Hey, this might be the year. You know! The year where you find your first love. It is always exciting to find that special someone. New loves are always one of the best things about going to school! Just remember that they should always be respectful to you. They should make you feel comfortable and happy, and you should always have that bond of trust. If you are dating them, be happy with that and don't start flirting with their friends or anyone else! They deserve much better than that. Remember that you are young! Have fun with your boyfriend/girlfriend. You don't have to take things too seriously. Just enjoy it while it lasts.

Happy 2010-2011 year!!

Weddings♥♥

Weddings are always stressful. Well, the preparation anyways. I am the maid of honor for my big sister's big day, and I can tell that she is getting more and more stressed as the days pass. My parents are the same way! My mom is working on a lot of things such as decorations and coordinating with my aunt. My dad is going to be the photographer, so he is studying up on tips and how to take beautiful pictures. As for me, I am working on my toast for the bride! In reality, I really do not like giving speeches, so it's taking me forever to write this speech. I had about a year to write it, and of course I waited until the last minute. Ooops!! The wedding is this Saturday, and I didn't start writing it until yesterday. LOL! Luckily I have Emily to keep me on track and making sure that I actually write my speech. The worst part of this all is that I should have it memorized and I will be talking in front of 150+ people. :S I should actually be finishing it right now, so wish me luck! ♥♥

Moline!!!

I recently got home from a trip to Moline, Illinois! You may think that it sounds boring because there isn't that much to do there, and guess what? You're right!! There was absolutely nothing to do there! I was stuck in my hotel for most of the time, and the hotel was far from classy or fun. It didn't even have free wifi! Besides that, the weather was terrible for the first couple of days there! The air was so muggy and gross. It felt like I was breathing through a straw! Luckily, by the third or fourth day the weather started to cool down and I was used to it. By the time I left I was like, "Pshh, this is nothing!" It was still good to get home to my fresh Cali weather though! I will never take clean air for granted anymore!
Why was I there in the first place you ask? I am on a softball traveling team and this year nationals was held in Moline! Unfortunately, my team didn't do as well as we hoped we would. I still thought that it was a great experience though!
If you didn't know already, John Deere is one of the largest companies in the U.S. I did some Wiki research, and John Deere moved to Moline, Illinois because it was located on the Mississippi River. While I was there, I was able to visit the John Deere store and museum! It was a very cool experience, and the tractors were gigantic!!
I also took a tour of the Mississippi River on a boat that I forgot the name to :/ We learned some of its history and enjoyed the views. The first 45 minutes were interesting, and for the rest of the time we were pretty bored. It was about an hour and a half ride. When I got back I got to touch the Mississippi River and was able to browse the gift shops.
It was a terrible but fantastic time for me, and I am so glad to be back home!
